The Effectiveness of Oral Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy expells damaging substances that can cause LDL Cholesterol plaque and free radical damage from the cardiovascular system. It dissolves unwanted substances and excretes them through the urine.

Oral Chelation is a natural process which helps the body clean the arteries and veins and detoxify the liver and kidneys.

Approved Treatment

EDTA (ethylenediamine tetra acetic acid), also known as edetic acid or tetra acetic acid is a synthetic amino acid having a molecular weight of 292.25 and a molecule formula of C10H16N2O8 .

EDTA chelation therapy is approved by the FDA for the treatment of lead poisoning and other metal toxicities, a number of studies have found it is also effective in treating blood vessel diseases and improving blood flow.

The Navy gave EDTA orally to thousands of sailors in the 1940's to treat and combat lead toxicity. Today it is also used as an antioxidant in foods, a chelating agent in pharmaceuticals and as an anticoagulant for blood taken for hematological investigations.

EDTA is effective when taken either by IV or Oral Chelation. When taken orally like other amino acids it passes through the stomach unaffected where it is absorbed directly through the epithelium cells of the duodenum.

Although incorrectly written about in the past it is now understood that EDTA is not affected by stomach and gastric juices.

It is often misunderstood that stomach acidity has nothing to do with the digestion of proteins, which takes place via enzymatic reaction later in the duodenum. Orally consumed Free Form Amino Acids are likewise not affected, in fact the pH of the stomach when secreting HCL is generally around 3.0 which has no affect on the molecular bonds of Free Form Amino Acids (including EDTA) and thus, cannot and will not destroy them. Please note: EDTA in solution may exhibit a pH of 4.0 all on its own.

All Free Form Amino Acids, including oral liquid EDTA, need no digestive process to enter the bloodstream. They are small enough molecules to enter the bloodstream immediately, that's why they are used so effectively in I.V. parenteral solutions. As a result all Free Form Amino Acids including liquid EDTA will pass unharmed and unchanged into the duodenum where they are directly assimilated into the bloodstream.

They are not, as mistakenly alleged by some uninformed people, broken down or destroyed by the gastric processes.

EDTA Chelation Therapy can help improve energy levels, memory, and normalize blood pressure, along with many more health benefits.
